Wallenborn opens in Liège

The first of our five core values is Customer focus, which means that our goals are aligned with our clients’ goals. It is for this reason that Wallenborn has just opened an office in Liège. 

Frantz Wallenborn says: "As we develop our relationships with clients, we notice a growing need to have a presence in Liège itself. So much traffic flows through Belgium and it was important to our clients that we have the capability to offer greater support on site. In the short time we have been in Liège, we have already seen a further increase in demand for our services there."

 

Wallenborn welcomes Donald Schaap who has joined to start up the Liège office. Donald brings with him 14 years of experience in air cargo logistics, coupled with a passion for new challenges, providing excellent customer care, and growing the business. A Belgian national, at the age of 16 he was first exposed to air cargo RFS planning at Brucargo Express NV. Although he chose to then study informatics and accounting, Donald remained fascinated by logistics. So, in 2003 he started at H.Essers as a dispatcher, and quickly progressed up the ranks to team leader planning, operations manager, project & business development. He also spent several years at J.Van Roosbroeck, a regional transport company.

Donald says: "Most members of my family worked in the air cargo business, so in some way I guess my fate was pre-determined. Still, after all these years I am loving the industry and am especially excited about this newly accepted challenge."
